THE CINEMATIC ORCHESTRA ANNOUNCE NEW STUDIO ALBUM TO BE In uscita il 15 marzo 2019, To Believe è il disco che segna il ritorno in grande della Cinematic Orchestra di Jason Swinscoe e Dominic Smith a distanza di ben 12 anni dalla precedente prova (Ma Fleur). Al disco partecipano numerosi ospiti che vanno da Moses Sumney a Roots Manuva, da Heidi Vogel a Gray Reverend (vocalist nell’album First Fires di Bonobo), da Dorian Concept a Tawiah (Mark Ronson, Kindness) e Miguel Atwood-Ferguson (Flying Lotus, Anderson Paak, Thundercat, Hiatus Kaiyote) che si è occupato dell’arrangiamento degli archi.
Ad anticiparlo, un singolo dalla produzione elettronica arricchito da umbratili note al piano, smalti jazz d’ambiente e tocchi trascendentali/orchestrali non lontani dal post-rock. Il brano s’intitola A Caged Bird / Imitations of Life (con il feat. di Manuva) ed è stato mixato nei leggendari Electric Lady Studios da Tom Elmhirst (David Bowie, Frank Ocean, Adele). Tra il personale segnaliamo inoltre Brian “B +” Cross, che si è occupato del concept dell’album, e The Designers Republic™ (più volte coinvolti da Aphex Twin e dal giro Warp) per l’artwork. Tracklist
