bio: Matthias Vogt, a trained jazz musician recording for INFRACom! also under the name of Motorcitysoul in the electronic music context, was entrusted with the task of arranging a reinterpretation of selected pieces from the past 10 years of the INFRACom! label's history, with Mr. Vogt's jazz trio. [re:jazz] was born as the anniversary album of INFRACOM!, and the release of catalogue number 100 for the label, back in October 2002. The Method: Reverse Engineering - Bass, Piano, Percussion. They intend to work entirely without special electronic effects, relying solely upon the skills of the musicians and recording technicians. In so doing, they wish to include several instrumentalists and vocalists whose work has inspired them, and whose talent they appreciate. Among them are personalities like Till Brönner, Nils Petter Molvaer, Nathan Haynes, Erik Truffaz, Jhelisa Anderson, Lisa Bassenge, Victoria Tolstoi, Ultra Naté and many others. We all have been utterly convinced that the results will be surprising in many ways. The first release "INFRACom! pres. [re:jazz]" was very well archived and soon people asked for live shows. Matthias took the chance and formed a group out of seven musician who took part in the recording session for a live interpretation of the record. By public demand Matthias and the band started to think about how they can continue this wonderful project and what should be the next step to do a new recording. With "Point of view" they have given their answer. ...and the story continues
