Influences as Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae and Billie Holiday appear throughout the way she treats her music.
With Miriam and Fredrik in the front, and the quintet as the core, their material is strongly anchored in the bluesy 1960's jazz, and includes both Evergreens and Souljazz in the repertoire. The record release will be followed by a vast tour in Scandinavia and Europe in 2006.
Earlier Miriam & Fredrik have been featured on the critically acclaimed album "Jan Lundgren Trio presents Miriam Aïda & Fredrik Kronkvist" (Sittel Records), and appear frequently at most jazzfestivals in Sweden eg. Stockholm Jazz.
Miriam Aïda is also the front figure singing Portuguese in the funky brazilian band called A Bossa Eletríca - worldrenowned with their successful 12" record spinning on dance floors for the last year.
