bio: Oren Lavie’s debut album, THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE SEA, has been auspiciously released in January 2007 throughout Europe. If you happen to live in this particular continent - buy it around the corner, behind the bakery and next to the flower shop.
A US release is planned for later, somewhere between a little later and quite considerably later. It depends, really.
If you reside in any of the other continents (there are five more, according to Yahoo), we hope to get there soon. Meantime, the album is available on most online platforms, including Amazon and i-tunes.
THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE SEA album was written and produced by songwriter Oren Lavie, recorded in his Berlin apartment between the years 2004-2006. Upon its release the album has received many wonderful reviews commenting on the dreamy soundscape, cinematic images and intimate performance. It has also generated a handful of catastrophic reviews, which commented on exactly the same topics, employing quite a different set of adjectives. Well, well.
