>> Flevans
bio: Flevans' 4 years on Brighton's highly regarded Tru Thoughts label saw him release 3 sold-out 12'' singles and a highly succesful debut long-player. 'Make New Friends'. His trademark bright and funky beats won fans such as Aim, Groove Armada, DJ Food, Kid Loco and Bonobo amoung many others, as well as bringing him to the attention of a global audience. The success of these releases has led to back to back DJ appearances at The Big Chill festival, sets across the globe including New York and Tokyo and even to play at the MTV Cannes Film Festival party!
As well as remixing artists such as Jon Kennedy, Jung Collective and Rephrase, Flevans's music has appeared on compilations for Ninja Tune and Ministry of Sound, and has recently been used for the launch of Nokia's Second Nature TV ad campaign. The beginning of 2006 saw Flevans leave Tru Thoughts, siting differences in musical direction, and was quickly snapped up by London's up and coming Jack To Phono label, with whom he'd released 2 succesful 7'' singles under the monikor of Mooch.
2007 will see the release of the long awaited second Flevans long-player, 'Unfabulous' - a massive step forward, showcasing Flevans's ear for crisp dancefloor beats, anthemic strings, live funk and unforgettable hooks - an album of great variety, humour and a knowing nod to all that moves peoples feet.
